Congratulations to all players who participated in footy this season - whether it be on the ground, being water-boy/girl, boundary umpire, and all other roles associated with putting a team on the field. We hope this has been an enjoyable year for you and that you have learnt lots about playing footy! Congratulations to all parents and family members who assisted their child in playing the game - particularly the washing of those muddy jumpers in more recent weeks.

This year, we have four out of our seven competitive teams participating in the EFL Junior Finals Series - the Under 11’s, Under 12A’s, Under 14’s and Under 15’s. We wish these teams well in their respective Junior Finals campaign.

As already advised, the Ferntree Gully Eagles Football Club will be hosting four (4) weeks of EFL Junior Finals starting this coming Sunday 25 July 2010. We need all teams not playing in Finals helping in the delivery of this event. There is a lot of work involved and we need as many people as possible…. Please talk with your team Coach and Team Manager who will have more information.

Finally, preparations are well under way for our end-of-year Presentation Day to be held on Saturday 28 August at Pickett Reserve. Please ensure that you place this date in your diaries. More details also to follow…

With one more Home-And Away game to be held this coming Sunday, the season is drawing to a close - apart from the competitive teams who will be playing off in Junior Finals. The Executive and General Committee sincerely wishes that all players have enjoyed their season and we look forward to another bumper year in 2011. We will continue to supply newsletters throughout the finals series so keep a look out for all of these….

This Sunday Night Player Awards Night will be held at the Senior Football Ground club rooms starting at 5:30 p.m. – it will also be our Coach’s Auction evening too – so we expect a huge turnout.

There has been a development in our hosting of Finals - it is with pleasure to report that the Ferntree Gully Eagles Junior Football Club has been approached by the EFL to host all four weeks of finals. Knox Council has approved our application so all hands on deck now required. The first week of Finals will be held on Sunday 25 July. This is a wonderful result for, and acknowledgement of, our club.

Congratulations to James Barlow for playing in the Under 14 Interleague Grand Final – in a team that was victorious – so James now has two Premiership medallions around his neck.
